Welcome to EweTurn!

The name may be new, but there are generations of careful selection behind it.

Our foundation is a wonderful girl by the name of 'Gemma' (Clanheath Perfect Gem). A precocious youngster, she knocked over her obedience titles at 13 months (CCD), 18 months (CD) and 24 months (CDX).  Twelve months from our first trial! Oh, and a UD at 4 years and O.Ch at 5 years :)

She collected her "Obedience Champion" title with a fifth pass on March 26th - with the first one at her first attempt :)  The fourth in the first trial of 2011 - All this, having taken the better part of two years off for puppies!

She is now working on her "Masters" in Agility & Jumping, and will soon start training for Tracking and Treibball, having run out of Obedience titles worth pursuing (I hate UDX, and know Gemma would too.)

Gemma was on a roll just before Heather and her siblings came along, and took a while to rebuild her confidence (and physique!) and get that elusive third UD pass and title, which she did in the very last trial of 2009.  A really busy year with 7 more UD passes culminated in her earning the Obedience Dog of the Year (2010) at the ACT Companion Dog Club.

Gem has also notched up her JDM (Masters Jumping) and JDO (Open Jumping) titles, as well as her ADO (Open Agility) and is on the brink of her ADM as well (one more Q required.)  That's fifteen ANKC titles if you're counting!

Finn is taking a break from the Show ring to do some Obedience work too; he picked up a win and a 192/200 in his second trial.   That's four perfect scores!   In only a handful of trials, he finished his Novice (Companion Dog, CD) title.

Shadow has notched her AD (Agility) JD (Novice Jumping) and her first Obedience title: CD (Novice), all before her third birthday - and is already notching up JDX passes, started in CDX, and an easy pass in the 2011 Endurance Test (ET).  One CDX pass in Apr 2012, just after her litter.  She's on the brink of her JDX too now.

Heather is zooming through Agility school and had her first JD pass before leaving Level 4 (pre-Novice) class, and now has an AD and will be training and trialing with 'big sis' Shadow in Excellent.

Gemma and Finn are gentle, fun-loving souls who got on well from the moment they met.  They were puppies together in the same creche, born 10 days apart. Fittingly, they both earned their ET titles (Endurance Test) on the same day too - and then played for an hour at full pelt in the downpour to show just how 'tired' they were :)

She's utterly devoted to me, as I am to her, and we spend most of our time together. She comes and goes as she pleases, is careful around traffic and children, and is a joy to live with.  Finn has overcome his past life, and is now fitting in well.  Shadow is starting to mature and Heather is... still a puppy :)

Please feel free to browse around the site and meet the extended family on the links below - particularly the WeeBlog - Gemma's Blog.  That's where you'll find the latest information as it comes to hand.

In sad news, Gemma will never be having a third litter.  Complications from the first litter caught up with her this month, and rather than risk her life with another litter she's now looking forward to being a Granny.  It was a huge decision, as the chances were she would be fine - but she's too precious to take such risks with!  The mantle now passes to Shadow for 2011, and Heather in  2012.
