B3 is going to a family in Sydney, where he will be prancing around the Conformation Showring.  Name TBA.  The first priority is that he be loved and well looked after.  He's a very attractive boy, and I want the very best for him.  I was hoping to watch him grow up, but it seems that it will be at a distance now :(

B2 is also heading to Sydney, where he will be doing Obedience Trials.

B1 will be staying here in Canberra, as the star pupil and (literally) 'teacher's pet' of a local Obedience Instructor.

...and G1 will remain here, with Gemma, Finn, and her fun-loving playmate Shadow.

This is the latest spread, with the assistance of Karen and Deb.  Pepper's new mum found out just how much goes into this today!  It was a comparatively easy shoot, but the bright sun and near-white background make even my camera throw up its metaphorical hands in disgust!  I really need to arrange a photo niche for next time, in about 18-21 months.  I'm still scouting for locations for the final shoot, at 8 weeks.

We even found a moment to take some profiles of Finn; I'm afraid the back yard isn't the best place for this, but I'd rather take poor photographs than risk him breaking quarantine and bringing back a nasty bug before the pups' own immune systems are ready for it.  He's still very 'soft' and doesn't like being posed.  It's been almost three years since he was being seriously campaigned in the Show Ring.

The kids were forever trying to run off the table and play with the other kids on the ground.  It must be hard for them, with so many new people in the yard talking, playing, cooing over them...

It's becoming a bit of an FAQ: "How much are the puppies?"  The answer is "It depends on quality.  The price is now set, but the money is a secondary consideration; the puppy's prospects are the critical factor."  Another FAQ is "Can you provide more information?"  That answer is "Yes."  Please read the site and blog, and specify what it is you would like information about.  I've done my best to put everything but the kitchen sink up here, or in the 'blog, but if I've missed anything in particular, go ahead and ask!   Usually when people ask this, the 'specific' question is covered in depth already.

They will be homed at about 8 weeks, so the prime opportunity will be around August 14 to spend the entire weekend integrating with their new household.

They've all been for a trip to the vet, had a health check, vaccination and microchip implanted.  All are hale and hearty!  All are now at least 10x their birthweights, around 4kg, and gaining about 82g per day on average.  All the new parents will have to do is change the pedigree into their own name and membership number, and post the pre-paid microchip registration form with their details.

They are romping around in the back yard for most of the day, when it's warm enough.   They are very cute to watch, with their high-stepping trot (almost a goose-step).  All are active, happy, and outgoing.  They approach and play with Shadow and Finn, but Finn knows better than to approach them when She Who Must Be Obeyed is around.

I'm glad they're well contained, because I can't run fast enough to catch them anymore!  In fact, their herding instinct is clearly sound, as they continually try to outrun me, stop in front, and steer me with their 'eye.'

I am steadily eating away at the pile of inquiries.  Each one takes time!  The ones with more detail get more attention, and sooner.

Heather is a special girl, who is staying with us. Her fate was pretty much sealed by 48 hours - to one of two households :)  B2 and B1 have been sorted also.  They need the best possible homes with the best chance at reaching their potential.  If I had 20 girls like Heather, I'd probably still disappoint quite a few people!  Gemma and Finn have outdone themselves this time.   They will definitely be doing a repeat mating in 18-24 months!  Gemma needs a rest, and time for her career.

The kennel names are now registered, their registration numbers and official names are shown below.

They had their third worming treatment at six weeks, and a full physical, vaccination and microchipping on  the 5th.   All thriving and having a great old time!

All the paperwork and correspondence is eating a phenomenal amount of time, so I haven't had a chance yet to process the videos.

Here is a spread taken at seven weeks - a final spread in under a week.  I'm afraid cooperation was hard to find, the sun was very bright, and the other kids insisted on playing around under the table, distracting the puppy of the moment!

Group Hug, everyone!

There will be another shoot at  8 weeks... and if time and technology permit...  EweTube videos of their antics!  Can't resist that pun! :)

It's going to be really hard to say goodbye to these kids!
