Here are the earliest pics - up to about four weeks old. They opened their eyes at about 10-14 days. First teeth errupted at 3 weeks. They're beautiful, and they're thriving. Gemma does great work!
Already skirting the 2kg mark, from a 305g start (on average.)
The weather was favourable this afternoon, so the kids had their first experience outside the whelping box. I expected howls of protest, but after downing a Special at the Milk Bar (which has an 'outside' francise), they all settled down quickly. Strangely enough, they seemed keen to experience the turf rather than the more familiar DryBed mat. As usual with puppies at this age, you have to take the opportunities they give you - cooperation is not in their vocabulary! Nevertheless, you should be able to recognise everyone by now, even though some of these are (deliberately!) from new angles.

These shots were taken at 16 days. Their eyes are now open, and they're walking around unsteadily; their stops are beginning to show as their snouts form. They're plump, disgustingly healthy, and remarkably strong and stubborn :) Heather is the biggest, at around 1.48kg, the others are are in the 1.3-1.4kg range. Everyone has put on at least a kilo since birth, and most are at least 4x their birthweight. B3 is a little behind on that measure, since he was the biggest whelp of either litter by some margin! Gemma was very happy to see him :)

They don't much like being separated from Mum, so this will have to do for now!
Stay tuned to this channel :)
